Prescription lengths at our Practice

Although prescriptions can legally be written for up to 12 months, our clinic continues to issue most medicines in 3-month intervals.

• Regular review is an important part of safe medical care, especially for patients on multiple medications.

• A small number of very stable medicines (such as inhalers, oral contraceptives, vitamin D, stable statins, and stable thyroxine) may be issued for 12 months at your doctor’s discretion.

  Note: scripts written for longer than 3 months will incur a slightly higher fee.

• All other medicines will continue to be prescribed in 3-month intervals to ensure your safety

For prescription requests

Please allow 48 hours to process your request.

Please note - if you order your prescription over the weekend the 48 hours starts from 08.00 on Monday morning.

You must have seen the doctor in the last 6-12 months depending on your medical history. 
You will receive and invoice when your script has been sent to the pharmacy.
Note - patients under 14 years will receive a $0 invoice.
